CONCENTRATION

These pieces revolve around a central focus of balance between symmetry and asymmetry, while also incorporating a mix of detailed patterns and intricate line work. They keep a consistent black/white theme through the use of marker pens on paper and utilize a repetition of patterns over multiple pieces, while remaining distinct from one another. Although these pieces are mainly motivated by a fondness of the technique and style, I have expanded it further to also construct a concept having to do with intricate, individual details coming together to create a much more ornate composition as a whole. They also sprouted from the notion of tattoo designs in that their intended purpose is to ultimately be placed on a specific body part that would display them effectively.
